House of Illusions
The kitchen in this Milldale home is an expert demonstration in combining diverse shapes and finishes to achieve both beauty and function. Soft curves flow alongside sharper lines, guiding movement through the space and defining distinct zones. Natural wood and marble textures are paired with contrasting light and dark tones across cabinetry, benchtops, and flooring, while carefully considered asymmetry ensures maximum functionality without compromising visual impact.
These details not only showcase design expertise but also create a space where homeowners can feel inspired and at ease every day.
The sculptural island takes centre stage, clad in Dezignatek Swurves Prague panelling with tops fabricated from Sensa Taj Mahal Leathered stone, setting a tactile, illusion-inspired focal point. Surrounding surfaces, from Neolith Nero on the hob bench to Prime Baroque cabinetry and Ironsand toe kicks, layer depth, texture, and tone.
Working quietly in the background, Hettich AvanTech YOU soft-close drawers ensure seamless performance, reinforcing the cabinetry’s craftsmanship and elevating the daily experience for anyone using the space.
Achieving seamless integration between sculptural design details and functional hardware was key. Precision planning and Hettich’s reliable runners made it possible without compromise.
